Who is she?

Misssamuel is a 23 year-old grad student (read: careerphobe) who enjoys jumping about to save her wits.

Fitness Style?

Lift heavy, lift strong, and lift often! I also hate traditional steady-state cardio; The thought of it bores me to death. So you won’t find me playing musical chairs on the elliptical, treadmill and StairMaster. I prefer HIIT (high intensity interval training on a spin bike, doing hill sprints and going for long jump rope sessions by the lake.

Goals for the next 3 month?

  • More muscle definition
  • To increase my squat by 40lbs
  • To be able to do 10 unassisted dips (I can only do 3)  and 5 unassisted pull ups (Alas, I can only do 1. I’ve avoided these exercises for far too long. It’s time to conquer them!)
  • To sprint hills, jump rope or spin 6 days a week

Favourite Exercises?

  • Chin ups
  • Squats
  • Shoulder Presses
  • Push ups (Yeah!)
  • Tabata-style workouts (only 24 minutes but killer!)

Deserted island fitness kit (3 items)

  • A good pair of shoes (ouchy feet aren’t fun to work out with!)

Who needs equipment on a deserted island! I can use rocks, trees and vines!

Favourite Foods?

  • Pecan pie
  • Bread
